He looked
frail and walked with a limp.
Old man,
perhaps in his 60’s, and not decently dressed.
Couldn’t understand why my gaze was fixed on
him as he walked down the street.
I noticed he
had stopped three persons but I didn’t hear what he asked them until I saw one
of the persons throw his hands into the air as a sign of “I have no money to
give you”.
At this
point, I felt an urge in my spirit to give him N350.00 in my car.
I ran
towards him as he walked on and someone helped stop him.
As I gave
him the money, I realized he was half blind and suddenly, he held my hands and
I almost pulled my hands as we often do when beggars try to hold us or get
close to us. He asked; who are you? Are
you an Angel? How did you see me? I explained briefly.
You don’t
know what you have done for me he said still holding my hand tightly and he
began to pray, and pray and pray.
His name is
Adebayo, homeless, without a job and source of income.
His question
still burns in my heart: ARE YOU AN ANGEL?
Can I ask you,
are you an Angel? Will you be one to someone today?
May the Lord
make you an answer to someone’s prayers.
Jas 2:15-16 If a brother or sister be naked, and
destitute of daily
food, And one of
you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye
warmed and filled;
notwithstanding ye give them not those
things which are
needful to the body; what doth
it profit?
